  • Erica Manto Paulson, CLD, CCE, CMA, BFA

    Owner & Founder

    Erica, a CAPPA certified labor doula and esteemed member of the CAPPA faculty as a doula trainer, boasts a comprehensive array of certifications and credentials in the realm of childbirth support.

    As a dedicated professional, Erica is affiliated with prominent organizations such as CAPPA, Birth Arts International, and the Association for Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health. Beyond her impressive contributions to the field, Erica is a published poet and author, earning the esteemed title of Ohio Poet of the Year in 2022 for her acclaimed book of poetry, "Hunger," available at the Cincinnati Library and online.

    Throughout her extensive career spanning since 2006, Erica has served over 1000 families as a doula and childbirth educator. Her commitment to community involvement is evident through her board positions with the Ohio Doula Advisory Board, the Cincinnati Area Doula Society, Buckeye Birth Coalition, the Dayton International Cesarean Awareness Network chapter, and the Dayton Area Labor Support, showcasing her ongoing dedication to advancing maternal and infant health initiatives.   • Scott Paulson, BS, MBA

    Owner

    With an impressive career spanning 25 years in engineering and business development, Scott’s entrepreneurial journey began with the establishment of his first business venture in the automotive and aerospace tooling industry. As an engineering consultant, Scott continues to blend technical proficiency with a passion for community development in his commitment to superior customer satisfaction.

    A graduate of the University of Dayton, Scott's multifaceted profile extends beyond the business realm. He is a licensed pilot and an elected official, currently serving as Trustee President in Washington Township since his election to the Board of Trustees in November 2009. Scott's civic engagement further includes previous service on the Washington Township Zoning Commission, reflecting his commitment to shaping and enhancing the community.

    Beyond his professional and entrepreneurial endeavors, Scott actively contributes to the community as a board member of the County Land Bank Board of Directors. His dedication to philanthropy is evident through his involvement in fundraising activities with the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Scott's dynamic leadership, technical acumen, and commitment to community make him a valuable asset both behind the scenes and in nurturing the well-being of families at Nurture.

  • Nina Davis, LMT

    Licensed Massage Therapist

    Nina, a seasoned licensed massage therapist, brings her expertise to you, having received advanced training in Prenatal and Postpartum massage from the prestigious Cincinnati School of Medical Massage.

    Her passion lies in delivering the therapeutic benefits of massage during both the prenatal and postpartum periods. Nina considers it a privilege to be a part of your unique birth journey, finding fulfillment in bringing not just relaxation but also joy to her clients' faces through the healing touch of massage.

  • Elizabeth Krieger, RN

    RN, Ultrasound Tech & Postpartum Doula

    Elizabeth, a dedicated and highly qualified professional, earned her BS in Nursing from NKU in 2009. With a solid foundation in nursing, she garnered invaluable experience during her 5-year tenure at Cincinnati Children's in the Pediatric ICU. For the 4+ years following that work, Elizabeth has continued to make a significant impact in healthcare at The Christ Hospital, specializing in the Special Care Nursery and Postpartum units before joining the Nurture team.

    Her passion for all aspects of pregnancy, birth, babies, and postpartum care is evident in her commitment to providing exceptional support. Elizabeth is enthusiastic about being a part of your unique and special journey, drawing on her extensive expertise to ensure that you receive the highest standard of care during this transformative period of your life.

  • Julie Clevidence BS, MA

    Ultrasound Technician

    Julie is a seasoned professional with a unique blend of expertise. Graduating with a BA in Psychology and BS in Biology in 1995, she furthered her education by earning an masters degree in Medical Anthropology in 2000.

    Julie's journey in the perinataf ield began with impactful research at the Women's Health Research Center at the University of Cincinnati, focusing on postpartum and postmenopausal studies. Her career path extended to P&G, where she contributed to postmenopausal osteoporosis R&D and served as a project manager at an Institutional Review Board (IRB).

    In 2006, Julie achieved certification through DONA, marking her dedication to supporting individuals through the birthing process. A true pioneer in the field, Julie co-created CADS (Cincinnati Area Doula Society) in 2009, a non-profit doula organization, demonstrating her commitment to the doula and birth community at large.

    Julie's rich background in medical anthropology, research, and doula work showcases her multifaceted commitment to maternal health and well-being.

  • Jaclyn Ross

    Jaclyn Ross is a 200-HR RYT Yoga Teacher, an 85-hour Shanti Mom Prenatal Yoga Teacher and a Certified Health Education Specialist. In her classes, you can expect alignment-focused poses with breath and meditation work that is appropriate for all levels.

  • Morgan Miller, CD, CPD

    Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula

    Morgan holds certifications as a labor doula from both ProDoula and ToLABOR, embarking on her doula journey in 2019. Over time, she has expanded her expertise to encompass postpartum and infant care, childbirth education, and specialization in infant feeding. Her commitment to this work is palpable, driven by a deep passion for supporting individuals and families through the transformative journey of childbirth and expanding their families.

    Notably, Morgan's dedication extends beyond her professional credentials, as she recently experienced the joy of welcoming her youngest daughter into the world at home. This personal experience enhances her understanding and empathy, making her even more attuned to the unique needs and emotions associated with the beautiful process of birth.

    Currently residing in Cincinnati with her husband and two daughters, Morgan brings not only professional expertise but also a genuine understanding of the various aspects involved in the profound and intimate experience of birth and family growth.

  • Leah Heiden, CD

    Certified Birth Doula

    As the youngest among five siblings, Leah was born and raised along the scenic riverbanks of New Richmond, OH.

    Leah’s fervor for supporting birthing mothers took root when she witnessed her sister's natural childbirth journey. This passion deepened through her service at a pregnancy center, where she had the privilege of standing alongside women during their transformative journey of pregnancy and motherhood.

    Leah is genuinely honored to be a companion to pregnant and laboring women, navigating the profound and miraculous experience of birth. Her belief in God and her faith influences her reverence for each life as a precious miracle. Leah is dedicated to ensuring that every birthing experience is met with the utmost support and care.

  • Anna Lamping, CD

    Certified Birth Doula

    Anna, a certified labor doula with ProDoula, considers herself privileged to hail from a large family of twelve children. Her early exposure to the birthing process began with assisting her own mother and two older sisters during their childbirth experiences, shaping her passion for supporting women and families throughout the journey of birth and motherhood.

    Anna's commitment to the birthing community extends beyond her doula certification. Since 2019, she has been involved as a homebirth assistant, further deepening her understanding and expertise in the realm of childbirth.

    In addition to her roles in the birthing world, Anna is a devoted mother to her one-year-old son. Beyond her doula work, she shares her love for music and the arts as a Piano/voice teacher, believing that these expressions provide a unique way to connect with the divine on this side of heaven. Anna's diverse experiences and skills contribute to her holistic approach to supporting families through the transformative and sacred process of childbirth.

    Professional Birth Doula

    Anna trained with CAPPA in 2017 and is a seasoned and experienced professional doula with a profound dedication to empowering women in birth. Inspired by her own diverse (7) birth experiences, and her experience working with women as a doula, she passionately educates and advocates for women to embrace their innate ability to birth.

    Anna's tranquil and reassuring presence offers unwavering support during labor, fostering an environment of peace and empowerment. Beyond her doula work, Anna is a devoted homeschooling mother to her seven children, cultivating a thriving homestead filled with enriching activities such as baking sourdough bread, indulging in classical music, immersing herself in timeless literature, and exploring nature with her family.

  • Samantha Collinsworth, CLD, BS, RYT-500

    Certified Doula, Yoga Teacher, Reiki 1 Practioner

    Samantha, a certified labor doula with CAPPA, holds a bachelor's degree in Health and Human Services, earned from NKU in 2015. Beyond her doula certification, she is a 500-HR Yoga Teacher and Reiki 1 Practitioner. As she teaches yoga and engages with the community, Samantha's overarching goal is to create a nurturing space for individuals to explore and embrace their inner light. This commitment extends seamlessly into her work as a doula, where she dedicates herself to infusing positive energy into the birthing space and supporting each individual's unique birth intentions.

    Residing in northern Kentucky with her partner and two incredible daughters, Samantha is not only a skilled doula but also a holistic practitioner who strives to empower individuals on their journey toward wellness and self-discovery. Her multifaceted background and dedication to fostering positive energy make Samantha a compassionate and valuable resource for those navigating the transformative experience of childbirth.

  • Darlene Beya, CNM

    Monitrice / Postpartum Doula

    Renowned for her calm and reassuring demeanor, Darlene has dedicated her 30 year career to providing exceptional care to women. Darlene is known for her commitment to midwifery-centric and mother-led choices. Her gentle presence resonates throughout every interaction with her postpartum clients.

    Darlene has diversified her expertise in various RN roles, including psychiatric and addiction care, travel OB RN, and one-on-one care for children with complex medical needs. Simultaneously, she began assisting families with home births, a field she plans to expand.

    Beginning her career as a young mother, Darlene earned her BSN and worked as an RN in a local LDRP unit. In 1998, she became one of the first graduates of the University of Cincinnati's Midwifery program, subsequently managing over a thousand births at Mercy Hospital Anderson.

  • Brittni O'Connor, CD, BA

    Certified Birth Doula, Postpartum Educator

    Brittni, a dedicated doula with training from both CAPPA and Childbirth International, brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice. A mother of three, including a set of twins, Brittni is deeply passionate about enhancing access to education and childbirth options.

    Brittni serves as a group leader for our "Nurtured Postpartum" moms group, fostering a supportive community for mothers during the postpartum period. Drawing on her degree in Early Childhood Education and background as a former professional nanny and preschool educator, Brittni seamlessly combines her passion for evidence-based information with a commitment to mother-centered care. Her multifaceted expertise enriches her approach to supporting families through the transformative journey of childbirth.

    Brittni resides in Terrace Park with her family, where she continues to make a positive impact on the community she serves.

  • Veronica Taylor

    CAPPA Trained Doula

    Driven by a profound passion for birth, Veronica has a passion for coming alongside mothers to empower and support them throughout their perinatal journey. Her fascination with birth deepened after assisting her sister-in-law during labor and witnessing the miraculous arrival of her niece. This transformative experience ignited Veronica's belief in birth as an incredible God-designed miracle, inspiring her to actively contribute to changing outcomes for the better and advocating for well-supported births in our city.

    In addition to her dedication to birth work, Veronica serves as the office manager and friendly face at Embrace Chiropractic, where she loves interacting with all the moms and babies there. Veronica's multifaceted involvement reflects her commitment to supporting mothers not only through the incredible journey of birth but also in fostering a welcoming environment at Nurture.

    CAPPA Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula

    Phoebe Lapps is a CAPPA Certified Labor Doula and CAPPA Certified Postpartum Doula. Phoebe has been fascinated by birth work since she was a child! She worked as a nanny for many years and loved supporting moms and babies, and now she is extremely passionate about empowering women with evidence-based support in the sacred birth space, offering compassion, comfort and encouragement.

    Phoebe wants every mom to feel seen, heard and supported in their vision of their birth.

    When not working, you will probably find Phoebe in her kitchen cooking or baking, outside tending the garden, or maybe at a yoga class. She lives in St. Bernard with her husband and their Labradoodle.
